Who am I?
For those who don’t know me, my name is Anne McSommers, and I write queer romance. That said, I also like to dabble in horror, thrillers, science fiction and fantasy, all of which you will see if you take a look around this site.
I have been writing since I was 6, and terrified my first-grade teacher with an entirely fictional story about a 6-year-old girl with a terrible life. My overactive imagination has led to me writing on and off through 7 moves, 6 job industries, and 3 engineering degrees until I finally conquered my first NaNoWriMo challenge in November 2019.
I have just finished a draft of my first novel a queer erotic romance titled: A Thousand Words (working title I promise), and am working on draft two while plotting out my next book.
When I am not writing, I am hosting events on my discord server “The Writer’s Mess”, an online writing community that I established in March 2020, being my Region’s ML for NaNoWriMo, or out at a local writing event. Yes, I am insanely overscheduled, thanks for asking!
